SBS & NITV: Meet The Broadcasters Event and Pitching Session

SBS and NITV, in partnership with Create NSW and Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE), will host Meet the Broadcasters at ICE in Parramatta on Monday 20 August, 2018.

The event is a presentation and information evening with SBS executives who are embarking on a national roadshow. The executives will discuss and provide updates on their commissioning slate and ambitions for SBS, NITV, SBS On Demand, SBS Viceland and Food Network in 2018/19.

This is an invaluable opportunity for local industry to hear about future programming decisions, content trends for the broadcaster and most importantly, a chance to meet the commissioning team.

You are invited to join for a 6:30pm presentation, followed by networking drinks & nibbles. The event is free to attend. Click to register for the event.

Presenters will include:

  • Marshall Heald - Director, Television and Online Content, SBS

Pitching Sessions – Expression of Interest

Prior to the Meet the Broadcasters event, SBS and NITV are offering a unique opportunity for filmmakers to participate in a speed pitching session with the decision makers from their Scripted and Unscripted teams.

The one-on-one pitches will take place for Unscripted (Documentary, Food and Factual Entertainment), Scripted and NITV. Create NSW will facilitate up to 8 pitching slots and pitches will be 15 minutes each. The commissioning team will not have prior knowledge of the proposals, so you will need to give your best 'elevator pitch' within the timeslot.

The pitching sessions will run from 3:30-5:30pm at ICE.

To express interest for a pitch session, you can apply here.

Applications close Friday 3 August (midnight).

If you require further information, please contact Nadia Obeid at Create NSW email: nadia.obeid@create.nsw.gov.au.
