The New South Wales Government is committed to making our State the most attractive destination in Australia for major screen projects, through SCREEN NSW it aggressively pursues international and Australian "footloose" productions, offering incentives to attract them to Sydney and Regional NSW.

These incentives are able to be accessed on top of the Australian Government's Location Offset, Post/Digital/Visual Effects Offset and Producer Offset.

In addition to these production attraction incentives, Screen NSW offers localfilmmakers a range of funding options.

The Government offers an incentive to "footloose" productions that are interested in filming in New South Wales through its Film and Television Industry Attraction Fund. The FIAF is discretionary and is based on a percentage of spend in the State across a range of criteria, including labour costs, level of employment of local cast and crew, direct economic benefit to the state, locations used in regional areas and new technology employed.

The RFF is an annual fund that is available to assist productions that will film for at least one week in any part of regional NSW. Funds are provided by way of a grant and not investment.

The Australian Federal Government offers location incentives to producers of larger budget foreign films. Additional incentives are available for Post/Digital/Visual Effects (PDV) projects and to producers of Australian Film and Television projects.
