Production Assistance & Finance Overview
-
Production AssistanceProduction AssistanceAt Screen NSW we help great ideas grow to reality. We offer a range of Production Assistance programs.
Our three main programs of support are:
The Production Finance fund invests in a number of productions each year to encourage a high level of quality productions in NSW and to ensure employment for NSW creative teams and crews. The Production Finance fund provided approximately $3.5 million to film and television production and post-production in NSW for the financial year 2008-2009 and makes its investment decisions in competitive rounds.
The Loan Facilities program offers Production Loan Finance to provide creative, cultural and economic benefits to the screen industry in NSW.
The Regional Filming Fund is an annual fund that is available for filmmakers that intend to film for at least one week or more in any part of regional NSW. Funds are provided by way of grants and not investments. As such grants will not be recouped by Screen NSW. Screen NSW supports and encourages the growth of the film and television industry in regional NSW through the Regional Filming Fund (RFF). The aim of the RFF is to encourage Australian productions (and eligible co-productions) to film outside metropolitan Sydney, by granting assistance to offset the costs associated with filming in regional areas. -
