Screenworks’ Regional Producer Elevator Program call for applications

Screenworks is calling for applications to its annual Regional Producer Elevator Program.

Now in its third year, this program provides the opportunity for regional producers to develop professional skills, to get access to key industry contacts and to help overcome the unique obstacles faced by producers living regionally. This is the first time that the program has been made available to all of regional NSW.

Screenworks Regional Producer Elevator Program has been successfully running in Northern NSW for two years with the generous support from Create NSW and Screen Producers Australia.

Each year, two regional producers are selected to participate in the program, which includes attendance at the Screen Forever Conference in Melbourne, where they are able to join in selected emerging producer sessions that take place at the conference. The participants are also allocated $3,500 to invest in their own career development and receive support from Screenworks throughout the year.

Screenworks Regional Producer Elevator Program is open to producers of all genres, including (but not limited to): TV drama producers, documentary producers and children’s television producers.

It is best suited to early-career producers who can demonstrate initial success and are genuinely committed to building their skills as a professional producer in regional NSW.

Further details about the program and how to apply, go Screenworks’ website www.screenworks.com.au. Screenworks will be explaining details about the Regional Producer Elevator Program in a Facebook Live event on September 19 at 6pm http://www.facebook.com/ScreenworksAU/.
