Three NSW games practitioners attended GCAP (Games Connect Asia Pacific), Australia’s leading professional gaming event, with support from Screen NSW.
The recipients of Screen NSW’s GCAP 2024 Travel Support Program are Lucas Mayor, Mike Roberts and Sam Cable. Each recipient is provided with up to $500 in travel support, which can include flights, accommodation, ground transportation for the event, and an all-access ticket to GCAP 2024. At the three-day conference, which is Australia’s premier professional development and networking event for the game development industry, Lucas, Mike and Sam had the chance to attend lectures, workshops and exhibitions as well as build connections with key industry stakeholders and decision makers.
Increasing support for digital games was a commitment as part of Creative Communities and is a priority area of the three-year NSW Screen and Digital Games Strategy. This program is the second offering of market travel support for NSW game makers by Screen NSW and follows on from Gamescom 2024 Market Travel Program.
