Screenablity returns to Sydney Film Festival

The 67th Sydney Film Festival: Virtual Edition and Awards program was officially launched in May, 2020, and returning to the Festival was Screenability, an exciting platform for screen practitioners with disability, in partnership with Screen NSW.

Three cutting-edge short film works were showcased: Groundhog Night, written by multi-disciplinary artist Emily Dash, co-directed by Genevieve Clay-Smith and Rawley Reynolds, and starring Australian heavyweight actors Chris Haywood, Robyn Nevin and Susan Prior;

Diving In, co-directed by former Youth Paralympian Adam Bowes and Australian Directors’ Guild Award-nominee Nina Oyama (The Angus Project);

And Safety Net directed by award-winning theatre director Anthea Williams, about a cheeky 12-year-old boy in emergency care.
